Dramatic B&W

I love how sometimes you change an ordinary picture to black and white, and all of the sudden it isn't ordinary anymore. I go through phases where I love, love, Love black and white, and others where I can't get enough color. But you know there is something about seeing someone else's work in black and white, it simplifies takes away all the business and color, and leaves the emotion. LOVE IT! This week at I heart Faces is dedicated to dramatic black and white, I am so excited to see all of the entries! This picture was taken at the end of the summer last year, we were celebrating our last day of freedom before kindergarten started. Can't wait for days like this to start again, SOON!

splashMake sure to stop on by I heart Faces this week, it is going to be awesome!!

I am with you on the b&w's! Some times I love them and sometimes it just doesn't work. But when it does work it changes the emotion of the photo. I love this photo, you did an amazing job!

I agree, sometimes draining all the color out of a photo, just leaves you with what you meant to shoot in the first place. Great picture!

you are SO right!! It seems like such a simple moment, but you've taken the very essence of a child and saved it forever in that photo! It just makes you remember all those great childhood years.

Yes, I'd say this is VERY dramatic and it's such a SIMPLE photo!

The movement of the water is so lovely. I have the same feeling about B&W, so rarely does it actually work. It works here.
